Occupational Therapy (OT) is the use of treatments to develop, recover, or maintain the daily living and work skills of individuals with a physical, mental or developmental condition. By seeing an OT, people develop the skills for the job of living so they are able to participate more fully in the life they choose, or to prevent a disruption in their day-to-day living.
OT interventions focus on:
Adapting the environment
Modifying the task
Teaching the skill
Educating the individual/family
